Barbara Chang
Executive Director, NPower NY
Barbara is the Executive Director of NPower NY and has been with the organization since its inception in 2001. Barbara has led her team out of the early startup stage and through its current extended period of growth and expansion. Today NPower NY is the largest affiliate of the NPower network, a federation of a dozen affiliates located in major markets across the country.
Barbara has over 20 years of managerial experience in various non-profits in the NY metropolitan area including the New York Public Interest Research Group, Planned Parenthood and the Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC). In much of her work in the sector, Barbara has concentrated her efforts on building the capacity of the nonprofit community to achieve greater impact on their missions.
Currently Barbara sits on the Board of Directors of the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network (NTEN).
She lives with her three children and her husband on Long Island. The family's most enjoyable pastime is eating out so they can avoid having to endure mom's cooking. Second on the list is going on vacation, so they can eat out and avoid having to endure mom's cooking.
