Andrew is a New Yorker, born and raised, who grew up and now lives in the heart of Spanish Harlem. Andrew is also a product of NPower NY's Technology Service Corps (TSC)program. He graduated TSC in 2005 and joined the IT Basic help desk as a level one analyst. His favorite part about IT Basic was building servers because he was able to master the concept of client/server environments and their inherent stability and scalability.
Andrew entered the world of technology supportby accident when he would solve his computer issues himself, so he would not have to wait on hold with computer service vendors. He also got his feet wet with Web development in high school, learning basic HTML.
Before entering the technology field Andrew worked as a fire inspector, and concierge in Manhattan. Andrew says the best part of his technology career is being able to meet new people all the time when he visits clients; and seeing the impact his work has on other nonprofits.
Andrew is also a huge New York sports fan who loves the Yankees and Giants. During his free time he enjoys listening to music, playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
