NPower NY Secures Major Software Donation for National Advocacy Organization
Microsoft, a founding supporter of NPower NY, relied heavily on the work that NPower NY conducted with the New York-based national headquarters of the organization to assess the current state of technology throughout the network, and based upon the conclusions of this assessment approved the software grant in November of 2005.
Under the leadership of this high profile nonprofit, the headquarters and its affiliates have been working to upgrade the technology of the network in order to enhance collaboration and communication. The software donation is a major step toward upgrading the technology at their offices. The software grant will go toward new operating systems software, Microsoft Office software, and other productivity applications. It will enable the the organization to work at higher efficiency levels, increasing the impact of their mission to ensure crucial civil liberties are protected and honored at all times, especially for segments of the American population that have been traditionally denied their rights.
