Many nonprofits, especially small- to medium-sized organizations, face significant vulnerabilities in their infrastructures, emanating from such factors as outdated hardware, older and unsupported operating systems, dangerous security loopholes, inadequate backup procedures, lack of network documentation, and relaxed password policies.
