Staffing

Today's nonprofits face many technology challenges, but finding qualified IT staff does not need to be one of them. Graduates of our Technology Service Corps program are available to help fill this need.

Staffing Services

  • Permanent Staffing: Entry level and mid-level technical staff.
  • Temporary/Flexible Staffing: Short-term assistance that allows you the flexibility to build your staff, manage your budget and help your overworked personnel without incurring payroll expenses or costly employee benefits. Temporary staff are available anywhere from one day to three months.
  • Temp to Perm Placement: This option can be thought of as an on-the-job-interview. It's a great way to observe a prospective employee before deciding to hire permanently.
  • Interns: Interns complete small but important technology projects. Sample projects include providing help desk support, refurbishing computers, taking inventory of office technology, setting up and configuring new computers, etc. Learn more.
  • Technology Task Force: Technology team staffing for special projects such as network deployments, migrations and office moves.
  • Outsourcing: We provide targeted outsourcing options.
  • Bi-Lingual Technology Support: Many candidates are proficient in multiple languages.

TSC Interns

Do you ever find that you struggle to keep on top of all your technology requests (such as installing software on a users computer), or you have had that project you have always wanted to make happen but never had the time (like inventorying your technology), if so here is a great opportunity.

Types of Help

Technology Interns help nonprofits complete small but important technology projects. Sample projects include providing help desk support, refurbishing computers, inventorying technology, setting up and configuring new computers, etc. We hold our interns to high levels of professionalism and performance.

How Long?

Interns will work at your organization for a month - 5 weeks, 4 days per week, 8 hours per day.  Contact us If you are in need of technology staffing assistance during other times of the year.

Cost

The Technology Service Corps program shares the cost of the internship with your agency. The internship will cost $600 for nonprofit NPower NY members, $650 for nonprofit non-members and $1000 for for-profit organizations.

Nonprofits with budgets under 2 million dollars who are interested in this opportunity, but are unable to pay may apply for a scholarship. Scholarship applications can be requested.

Benefits

We prescreen candidates to fit your technology staffing needs. We coach interns to bring value to your organization. You have the option to lengthen the internship or hire your intern after the formal internship program is over without a placement fee. NPower NY will invoice your agency so you do not need to worry with the hassles about paperwork associated with more technology staff. You have a resource in TSC to support the intern in his/her transition into your workplace. We provide a guide to orienting your intern as well as prepare the intern on how to be effective in their new role.
